Either way, you’ve probably just clicked a link marked “Ad Targeting Disclosure.” What is “Online Ad Targeting”? Online Ad Targeting is generally the collection of information from and about consumers to tailor the ads that they see online. This may include using and combining your email address, postal address, and your online click-stream information to send you more relevant emails, and online banner advertisements. Do you use Cookies and Web Beacons? Yes. We use cookies and web beacons. A cookie is a small text file that a browser stores on a User’s computer for record-keeping purposes and future recognition of that User’s computer by the server that placed the cookie. You can remove cookies by following directions provided in your Internet browser’s “help” file. For more information about cookies please visit http://www.allaboutcookies.org/cookies/.We also use web beacons (also known as pixels and/or clear GIFs), to help understand the websites you visit and the searches you conduct while online. If you’d like to disable our web beacons, please visit your email client (e.g., Outlook, Outlook Express) and turn images to the “off” position. Please see your email client for more information. How do I control your use of my information? Opting out from targeting advertising If you'd like to opt-out from having your information used by us to tailor your online advertisements, emails and postal mail, we offer an online opt-out form. You may reach that form by clicking here. When you complete the form, your information will be suppressed from the database. Your opt-out request will be processed in 10 days. Unsubscribing / Opting out from Emails All email communications sent by AcquireWeb have clear instructions on how to unsubscribe from future communications. This can be accomplished in several ways including clicking on the unsubscribe link within an email or replying to the email indicating you no longer wish to receive communications. Additionally, every email we send contains a bit of code known as a “web beacon.” This code allows us to understand the time and date of when a user has opened an email and when he/she has utilized a link within the email to visit a Web site. Our web beacons do not collect personally identifiable information. Users wishing to disable our web beacons should do so by turning images “off” in their email client (e.g., Outlook, Outlook Express). Please see your email client for more information. |
