HANDLES COMPLEX ADDRESS ELEMENTS

Address Standardization considers each unique element of an address for complete address accuracy. Complex items such as suffixes, directionals, apartment numbers, suite numbers, post office boxes and rural/highway contract route addresses, as well as city names and prestige city names do not confuse our platform. This is critical when mailing to large cities or areas like the West, where complex addresses are common due to such variables as apartment numbers and highway addresses. Our superior matching algorithms can even process house numbers containing hyphens, fractions, alphanumeric characters and 10-digit grid addresses.


ALWAYS CURRENT

AcquireWeb Address Standardization includes the database of address ranges from the United States Postal Service's (USPS) ZIP+4 master file, which is updated monthly. This means that the address information you receive from AcquireWeb is current every time.


MEETS CASS AND USPS REGULATIONS

Address Standardization is certified by the USPS as meeting all requirements of the CASS. CASS is the process that assures that accurate carrier route, 5-digit, ZIP+4 codes and delivery point barcodes are placed on mail pieces by address-matching software. To receive automation-based discount rates, the USPS requires that mailings be produced from address lists that have been matched to CASS-certified software within the last 6 months.


In addition to meeting all USPS standards on ZIP codes, the AcquireWeb platform standardizes each input address to conform to USPS requirements for format and content. This service adds missing address information, standardizes city names and state abbreviations, corrects misspelled address elements and generates USPS readable bar codes.
