Albert Gadbut - President and CEO
Albert Gadbut
is the founder of AcquireWeb. Over the last 12 years, Gadbut
has held management positions in both biotech and high-tech
industries. Prior to founding AcquireWeb, Mr. Gadbut developed
the product delivery and fulfillment process and best practices
for Email Appending while employed at Responsys, an online
direct marketing service provider. Prior to joining Responsys,
Mr. Gadbut was the Director of Business Development for Bio-Protocol
an online Bioscience information portal. Before his involvement
with information technology companies, Mr. Gadbut held a Senior
Scientist position in the Department of Molecular Pharmacology
at MetaXen, a company focused on streamlining the drug discovery
process. Mr. Gadbut has held faculty positions in the Departments
of Medicine, Cardiology at University of California at San
Francisco and Harvard Medical School in Boston. Albert Gadbut
holds a B.S. in Biology from Northern Illinois University,
a Ph.D. in Neuroscience from the University of Illinois and
completed a Post Doctoral Fellowship at Harvard Medical School.
Richard Slater - Vice President of Sales
As an active member of the Direct Marketing Association, Mr. Slater serves on many
committees setting new standards in the direct marketing industry. Mr. Slater was
most recently Senior Vice President of Sales at iMatcher, Inc. an e-mail append
firm. There his responsibilities included building a national sales force and
directing the overall marketing effort. Mr. Slater joined iMatcher from
Advansar / The Larkin Group, a publishing and trade show firm where he served as
Director of Special Projects focusing on Business Development and serving on the
Merger and Acquisition Team. Previously, Mr. Slater spent 22 years as a partner
in Slater Publications and Expositions helping them become the largest regional
trade show producer in the United States. Mr. Slater attended Marshall University
majoring in engineering. He continued his education at Ohio State University where
he majored in Aeronautical and Astronautical Engineering and Business.
Brian Maniex - Chief Technology Officer
Over the last 13 years, Mr. Maniex has founded and started several start-up software
and consulting ventures and software-consulting firm. Notably, he was founder and
CTO of Hyperion Solutions e-Business Division. In addition, Mr. Maniex has architected
and developed dozens of enterprise software applications and technologies for
companies such as Chiat Day, Epsilon, Microsoft, Nissan, PeopleSoft and many others.
Before starting his own technology business, Mr. Maniex held senior technology and
marketing positions at Accenture, Glendinning Associates and Unilever. Mr. Maniex
holds a B.A. in Accounting and Finance from Michigan State University, an M.B.A in
Operations Research from Michigan State University and is a CPA
